I had made it my life’s mission to do this

All the running

The fighting

The lying

The manipulation and treachery

I woke up every day planning how I was going to do “the damage”

To you and all those you love

To make you pay, my way

And in my currency

Africa Pope Uganda

The Chinese have always been very brilliant, a society

For it’s said, “if you’re going to face your enemy, better are 2 graves dug up…one for you and the other for your enemy”…

I believe they made a lot of sense from it, didn’t they?

Finally, that much awaited day showed up

Armed with everything that I got

To the battle-zone, I marched for the fight of my life

I must say I defeated the enemy

Lifeless and scattering on his feet, did I leave him!

Then, somebody asked me, having witnessed this … “where do we go from here??”

  1. I don’t think we should go out looking for enemies, however, there will always be people against you in life. I don’t believe we should intentionally create conflict with people.

  2. Very well-written! I know that it’s probably not what your prose is about but I think an “enemy” doesn’t have to be another person. It can be yourself too. Your doubts, your insecurities…anyway! I love this! Thank you for writing it 🙂

  3. Sometimes you just need to let go of the toxic people in your life, rather than continue to fight with them. This happened to us recently, and we couldn’t be happier to not be fake friends with someone that is a bad person 🙂

  4. This is a thought provoking post indeed. I think enemies only exist if you let someone get to you. If you just let negative thoughts go you wouldn’t have an enemy.

  5. This is such a deep and thought provoking post, as others have said. There are some enemies that I have and have let them get to me, but I try not to. I understand it is a lot easier said than done. Something I need to work on as well. Thanks for sharing!
